Ten Commandment Hike
|
This is a great event for the whole family. Participants enjoy a leisurely hike thru Shadyside & Oakland, visiting various houses of worship. Each stop will include a talk with leaders from the houses of worship about their religion and about one of the 10 Commandments. Hikers should bring a lunch & water as well as a canned good for the food bank-the council provides juice for lunch,desert and hot chocolate along the way. Class A uniforms should be worn by all scouts and leaders who attend. Cost is $7/hiker before Nov 17th and $9/hiker after--payment can be made at Flag Plaza. This year's participants will receive 2 special patches, one for the hike and 1 for the 100th anniversary of scouting. Anyone interested,please let Mrs. Gannon know at the November pack meeting so we can register as a pack.

Scout Sunday
|
A day to honor our scouts...9:00am mass @ St. Mary's will be celebrated in honor of boy & girls involved in scouting as well as the leaders who guide them. Cub Scouts who have earned the Light of Christ Award & the Parvulei Dei Award will receive their medals during the mass. A short reception will be held in conjunction with hospitality Sunday after the mass.
